The foundation of Arıkanlı Holding A.Ş. dates back to 1972, when the MEF courses were established. Arıkanlı Holding, specializes in investments in education, transportation, insurance, construction-marble, energy, media-publishing, tourism-health, organic agriculture and winemaking for more than forty years, is now the focus of the chain of investments covering 7 companies.

In 1996, the foundation of Arıkanlı Holding was laid with the gathering of 11 companies under the same umbrella in order to carry out the studies on tem Strategy Determination, Control, Coordination, Development and Orientation 1996. On 11 February 1998, Arıkanlı Holding A.Ş. became registered and began business.

All companies under the roof of Arıkanlı Holding are known for their firsts within sectors. MEF Education Institutions and Yurtiçi Kargo which are pioneers who opened new horizons for Turkey in areas such as education and transportation were also included within the companies whom are known for their contribution to the sector through contemporary innovations at home and abroad.

Arıkanlı Holding has not changed its principles since its establishment. The strategic management approach of the Holding is based on adopting the appropriate methods of international free competition in the democratic order stipulated by the laws is a prerequisite for achieving economic and social development.This framework is guided by the principles of establishing a working system based on efficiency and profitability, building a structure in accordance with the modern management rules, maintaining and extending the development with new companies, and adhering to the principles of law and ethics.

MEF Schools, established as a model that is very open to innovations; Kindergarten, Primary School, High School and the International School for providing services to the children of foreign families constitute the essential link quality education in Turkey.

Having more than two hundred thousand graduates for more than forty years under the MEF brand, MEF Education Institutions have crowned their experiences in the education sector with the university. MEF University, which started its education in the campus of Maslak, which is the commercial center of Istanbul in 2014-2015 academic year, continues its goal of becoming an important science center bringing innovations to higher education.
