By adding one more item to the list of technological investments made in the recent years, Yurtiçi Kargo has started changing its industrial mobile devices with mobile phones thanks to the collaboration made with Scandit, the Swiss corporate data collection and mobility company. With the aforementioned investment Yurtiçi Kargo will strengthen its supply chain management and increase the speed of data entry.
Istanbul,13.9.2017; Since the date of its foundation, Yurtiçi Kargo has been updating its technological infrastructure continuously and attract attention in the international cargo sector with its export of Cargo Operation System (KOPS), and lately, the company has collaborated with the Swiss company Scandit in order to provide a faster information flow for its customers.
Using the “Mobile Delivery Personnel Application” developed for delivery personnel to be used only industrial mobile devices, Yurtiçi Kargo has started switching to standard mobile phones instead of industrial mobile devices with its final move towards technology. Thanks to the collaboration with Scandit, Yurtiçi Kargo now has the opportunity to read barcodes with mobile phones which used to be a feature of industrial devices and the company aims to reduce the use of paper and the weight on the shoulders of its delivery personnel to help them work faster and more efficiently with Scandit Barcode Scanners for Android Smartphones that have been tried on 10 million packages in June and purchased.
During the first phase, the aforementioned smart phones will be used by 1500 delivery personnel of the company’s Turkish branches and business agencies and by doing this Yurtiçi Kargo will strengthen its supply chain management and offer information faster to its customers about their mail thanks to the spontaneous data transfer to the center.
