Information related to Cargo Security Measures

Dears Customers,
We would like to inform you about our liability to comply with the rules when accepting mails according to “Procedures and Principles of Postal Service Related Security Measures” approved by Information and Communication Technologies Authority with the decision numbered 2016/DK-YED/517 on the date 27/12/2016.


1. What are the Responsibilities of Senders When Sending Mails?

• The sender or recipient should present a Turkish Citizen ID card or Identification document, Turkish driver’s licence or passport and authorization document if the sender/recipient is a representative (passport for foreigners, a similar document that has international validity given by Turkish authorities and used as ID identification). • Information related to the sender (If the sender is a real person, name and surname, address, Turkish citizen ID number, phone number; full title if the sender is a legal entity, VKN (Tax Payer Number) or MERSIS (Central Registration System) number, address and phone number as well the personal information related to the person in charge of delivering the mail of the legal entity (name and surname, ID number, address and phone number) and also the name-surname/title and full address of the recipient. • The content of the mail is recorded. • If the necessary information is not given, the mail will not be accepted.


2. What kind of Security Check is Applied When Accepting Mails?

• All mails are checked and accepted in the presence of the sender. (Communication mails and mails transported with an invoice or dispatch note under contract will not be checked, but mails suspected of containing illegal substances are accepted after checked if senders open the packages and present the content.) • If the sender does not give consent to the aforementioned security check, the mail is not accepted.


3. What kind of Personal Information is Needed to Deliver a Mail to the Recipient?

• While accepting the delivery, the recipient should present a Turkish Citizen ID card or Identification document, Turkish driver’s licence or passport and authorization document if the sender/recipient is a representative (passport for foreigners, a similar document that has international validity given by Turkish authorities and used as ID identification). If the recipient does not present personal ID information, the mail is returned to the sender.

We would like to remind you that processed personal data will not be revealed to third parties excluding the parties of the mail and people who are concerned, our suppliers that provide service/business partners, official authorities under the conditions stated in the related regulation; and we would like to thank you for your understanding and cooperation for these measures regulated by law that we under obligation to comply.
