The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that all artificial intelligence (AI) systems used in Yurtiçi Kargo Servisi’s cargo and logistics operations are managed safely, ethically, transparently and in compliance with applicable laws. This Policy applies to all AI applications, including intelligent route planning, autonomous warehouse systems, demand forecasting, chatbots and customer data analytics, as well as to all employees.
To this end, we at Yurtiçi Kargo:
- Identify intended uses, anticipate foreseeable errors in use or misuse, and manage the associated technical, operational and ethical risks across all AI-enabled service processes.
- Take measures to ensure that AI-enabled tools and autonomous systems do not compromise the safety of field personnel or physical operations.
- Ensure that algorithms used to optimize delivery times and routes operate with a high degree of accuracy and are subject to ongoing oversight.
- Clearly inform customers and employees which decisions (such as the order of deliveries or courier performance assessments) are made by an AI algorithm.
- Mask and anonymize the addresses, telephone numbers and identification details of parcel recipients and senders when training AI models.
- Prevent AI algorithms from producing biased outcomes in relation to delivery zones, courier assignments or employee performance measurements.
- Regularly monitor and improve the performance, reliability and effectiveness of AI systems.
- Manage infrastructure, software, data and personnel costs associated with AI services in a measurable and traceable manner and provide senior management with analyses to support investment decisions.
- Record and prioritize incidents and issues involving AI systems and resolve them within specified timeframes to minimize the impact of service disruptions.
- Uphold transparency, responsibility and ethical principles in our use of AI.
- Continually improve the AI Management System based on performance results, feedback and evaluations.
